Description: Exclusive: NOTORIOUS: Lil Cease Apologizes to Lil Kim (BlackPressRadio.com) - (BlackPressMagazine) - If Wednesday's Manhattan premiere was Hip Hop Hollywood's biggest party, last nite's Brooklyn premiere of the upcoming movie "Notorious" held at the Brooklyn Academy of Music was a hip hop homecoming as some of biggest names in hip hop history roamed freely around the facility without security guards or attitude. The event was presented at no charge by the City of Brooklyn and movie house Fox Searchlight. The event included a special Celebrity Gift Lounge that included a gift bag that featured some of Brooklyn's businesses including two complimentary pairs of designer kicks from Schmack and Vlado, a minature cheesecake from the famous JUNIOR's restaurant, two designer t-shirts and a designer sweatshirt all with Brooklyn themes Despite the laid back, friendly environment, there were still surprises around every corner. Brooklyn borough president Marty Markowitz presented Big's mother Voletta Wallace with a special proclamation signed by New York Governor David Patterson. Markowitz's announcement brought tears and laughter to many including Big's wife Faith Evans who said, "This man is a comedian" after he made the crowd explode in laughter when he screamed out a line from one of the slain rapper's songs, "Spread love. It's the Brooklyn way!" Although veteran actress Angela Bassett bailed on Brooklyn, the entire cast and crew of Notorious, the biopic on the life of Biggie Smalls, came out for what was quickly dubbed, "The Real Premiere." Actor Derek Luke who portrays Bad Boy founder Sean "Puffy" Combs said it best, "Brooklyn is the real premiere. Brooklyn don't play that Hollywood stuff. If they don't like it, they gonna tell us. Point blank," said Luke. Among the celebrity attendees was Rev. Jesse Jackson who called the movie, "A historical necessity." Following the movie screening, the Brooklyn premiere included a special 30 minute Question & Answer session feauting Big's mom, entire cast, Big's wife Faith and was hosted by Mr. Cee. But it was hip hop vee jay Amelia Ismoore's session ending question to Big's son CJ that brought the house down after she asked him what part of his father's legacy that he hoped to continue in his own life. The stunned 13-year-old budding actor took a moment to recover from the magnitude of the question before saying, "His love of his family" as the audience erupted in applause and the evening came to a close. It was an emotional night for Biggie's founder and demo producer Mr. Cee, who admitted "I've been hanging out with [the actor who portrays Biggie] Gravy all week, but tonight is the first time I'm going to see the movie. I'm overwhelmed by what I might feel when I see myself on the screen. At the time I didn't think what I was doing was really that big of a deal but I'm starting to really understand it," said Mr. Cee, who now works for New York's biggest hip hop radio station Hot 97. Biggie's former girlfriend and hip hop icon Kimberly "Lil Kim" Jones boycotted both movie premieres because she was upset by the way she was portrayed in the movie. The near porn scenes that featured Lil Kim and Biggie were viewed by many moviegoers as degrading and over the top. Her absence didn't stop her former Junior M.A.F.I.A. buddy James "Lil Cease" Lloyd from granting Black Press Magazine an exclusive interview in which he apologizes to Lil Kim and attempts to squash their beef that allegedly stems from his involvement in the 2001 shooting outside of Hot 97 which led to Kim's year-long imprisonment in 2005. Lil Cease and another group member provided damaging testimony during her prejury trial. During Black Press Magazine's 15 minute audio and video interview with Lil Cease, which will be published on January 12 as part of the exclusive "Notorious: The Movie" Podcast Series, he addresses their beefs and makes a surprising plea to Lil Kim. He also announces some shocking news about the group's future. The Notorious podcast series includes interviews Biggie's son Christopher "CK" Wallace and his little brother, other members of Junior M.A.F.I.A., Biggie founder Mr. Cee, among others. What made it hot: Inside the SWAG Bag Celebrities were given videos, copies of The Source magazine with Biggie on the cover, two gift certificates for a complimentary pair of designer kicks from Vlado and Schmack, a 15% discount coupon for spa services at Cynergy, a "Viva La Brooklyn" sweatshirt from Gifted Apparell, designer hip hop T-shirt from Local Strangler, productgs from Gino Green Global, a 1.7 oz bottle of Kiehl's "Forest Rain" perfume, a mini "Little Fella" cheesecake from JUNIOR's restaurant all in a blue bag from Bluestar Jets.
